History

Clevenger Corporation started with the idea of a reusable partition system.  One of the first true-green office systems was invented by Clifton Clevenger Senior, the year was 1958. It took four (4) years to receive a patent that gave Clevenger Corporation exclusive rights to sell and install movable office partitions to customers like; NASA, major universities, GSA, hospitals and commercial office spaces. The system was called Kwik Klip Partitions and was the main business for the company from 1962 to 1980. The system could be installed in a single day for a small office and be ready for use the next day.  The same office could be disassembled and reassembled in a different configuration as requirements changed. The partitions were held together by battens and Kwik Klip studs; no screws or drywall compound.  The drywall and battens could be ordered pre-finished, no finishing or painting was required.   The partition was complete as it went up. The system is still in production as Cemco Demountable partitions with no changes to the system after fifty (50) years in use.  Clevenger Corporation still has the dealership for the D.C. area.
